David Arkin, M.D.
Dr. Arkin was born and raised in New York City. He attended college at the City College of the City University of New York, and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1977. He completed his pediatric training at the Medical College of Virginia, and has been practicing primary care pediatrics since 1980 in Richmond. He joined Dr. Wiley in 1999, forming Wiley & Arkin Pediatrics.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical school honor society. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Arkin specializes in the evaluation of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD) and provides care for patients managing this disorder. His compassionate, ongoing support helps families see improvement in their child’s development and behavior, with treatment programs suited to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Arkin is married, and the proud father of four grown sons. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and refereeing soccer matches.
